The Toyota Tour Cup Spring Season wrapped up this week at Desert Falls Country Club, where tough and windy conditions tested the entire field. Despite the course playing exceptionally tough, the competition rose to the occasion, delivering clutch performances and crowning two brand new, first time ...champions on the Toyota Tour Cup!
The event was made possible by the efforts of Head Golf Professional Jeffrey Gathmann, PGA and the Desert Falls Country Club staff, who hosted the field for the duration of the tournament.
In the Girls Division, Grace Mao (Class of 2032) and the youngest player in the entire field, showed veteran composure to secure her first ever Toyota Tour Cup victory, finishing at an impressive 2-over par for the tournament! Rounding out the top spots, Cindy (Manni) Yang and Catherine Shi battled hard to finish just two strokes back, tying for second place at 4-over par. Congratulations to these girls for their stellar play!
The Boys Division came down to an absolute clutch putt on the final hole. Elias Moncrief sank a birdie winning putt on the 18th to hold off the field and claim his very first Toyota Tour Cup title! He was chased closely by Elijah Yang, who fired a spectacular comeback low final round score of 69 to claim solo second place. Bosheng (Dylan) Zhang and Ayden Loke also put on a fantastic show, finishing tied for third at 1-over par. Congratulations to all the boys on an awesome tournament!
A special thank you to our partners Toyota, Taylormade, and Holston Academy for their partnership and support with the Toyota Tour Cup and the SCPGA Jr. Tour!
