This past weekend, May 26th-27th, 2012, the SCPGA Junior Tour’s Bridgestone Spring Series Championship was held at Morongo GC at Tukwet Canyon on the Champion’s Course. The field was made up of 172 participants that qualified by finishing in the top 3 of one or more Spring Junior Tour events. The first round of the tournament was difficult with cold and damp conditions, however, the skies cleared up for day two and players were given perfect scoring conditions. All ties for first place were broken by a sudden death on-course playoff. Ties for second and third place were decided by a scorecard playoff.

The SCPGA Junior Tour would like to extend an extra special thanks to Brad Stormon (General Manager) and Paul Mayes (Superintendant) of Morongo Golf Club for hosting this event. This was certainly one of the best courses the SCPGA Junior Tour has visisted thus far this year.
